NAGPUR: Day 9 of counselling for bifocal courses went off smoothly with students finding it hard to decide on a college. Seats in top colleges have all been allotted and students are deliberating whether to skip bifocal faculty and try their luck in general science, as most of them keep the college as priority and faculty as second deciding factor.
The trend of more students opting for electronics or computer science continued and the scooter maintenance course was still without any takers.
Meena Gupta, a parent, said, "My son did not take admission in Sindhu College as electronics branch was not available there, so now he would try his luck in the general science merit list."
Arpit Masram, a student, said, "I wanted admission in Somalwar College but computer science is not available, so I have to wait for the general science merit list to be put up."
Tuesday being the last day of counselling for bifocal courses, a CAC member said all seats which are left out would be given considering under open category to all students on July 20 and the merit list for general science will be put up on July 26.
